got this patient crashing with h/o fever, hypotension which was not responding to fluids, muffled heart sounds with engorged neck veins.....suspected a pericardial effusion & did an emergency bed side echo to confirm......bingo.......it was huge effusion goin into cardiac tamponade........was an awsome feeling diagnosing it right!!did an emergency pericardiocentesis & patient survived!!
